Mere Phantoms Workshops
Mere Phantoms’ interactive shadow workshops are designed to engage audiences of all ages – including adults, young people, children and families. In these hands-on workshops Mere Phantoms artists demonstrate a selection of the paper-cutting techniques, and guide participants through designing and creating their own three dimensional paper cut-outs. The pieces made by the group are combined with examples made by Mere Phantoms to create a small-scale paper-based installation.
Participants use Mere Phantoms hand-held light wands to explore how their pieces translate in light and shadow. Mere Phantoms workshops are offered to schools, libraries, community centres, museums and galleries, and are customized to fit the needs and interests of the participating group.
